Abstract
The collection contains the family papers of Edwin Burt Sr. and Alice Casad-Burt. Alice Casad, the daughter of Thomas Casad and Sarah Wakefield Van Winkle Casad, married Edwin Burt Sr. in 1897. These papers consist of family papers pertaining to the Casad and Burt families. The papers primarily cover the years 1850-1949 and document the period when Edwin Burt Sr. was in the countries of Chile and Mexico working in the mining industry.

The collection contains the family papers of Wilford “Bill” LaRock and Gertrude “Gay” Casad-LaRock. Gertrude Casad, the daughter of Humbodlt and Matti Maude Casad married Bill LaRock in 1949. These papers consist of family papers regarding the Casad and LaRock families, as well as close family friends Emmit and Daisy Lindsey.

Abstract
Maud Casad, the third child of Thomas and Sarah Casad, was born in 1866 and married William Mandell in 1890. Their fourth child, Humboldt Casad Mandell, married Mary Evangeline Smith in 1930. These papers were assembled by the two children of Humboldt and Evangeline Mandell. They contain family history and memorabilia concerning the Casad and Mandell families, as well as some documentation of Madeline Mandell, the daughter of Humboldt and Evangeline Mandell.
